Kings County Fairgrounds
The Kings County Fairgrounds is the anchor of Hanford's summer event calendar and one of the oldest county fairs in California, with roots stretching back to the 1880s. The annual Kings County Fair runs each July and draws huge numbers of visitors to the 100-acre fairgrounds for livestock shows, carnival rides, live music, and agricultural exhibits that reflect the deep farming heritage of the San Joaquin Valley. The fairgrounds also host year-round events including swap meets, rodeos, and community gatherings.
Charter buses drop at the main entrance on South 10th Avenue, and parking on the surrounding streets fills early on fair weekends, so arriving by bus skips the lot scramble entirely.
